In observance of Memorial Day, Valley Metro bus and rail will operate on a Sunday schedule. There will be no RAPID and express bus service.

Inspiring the next generation of transit professionals! 🚌🚈
Last week, our Transit Education team visited Tomahawk Elementary School Warriors for Career Day to talk with students about the many careers in public transit. Students even got to hop aboard a Valley Metro bus!

Effective May 29, 2026, the Dorsey/Apache Blvd Park-and-Ride will permanently close to accommodate redevelopment by the City of Tempe. See map for parking alternatives.

Today marks our 4 year anniversary of streetcar opening in the !🎉🎂✨
Having served more than 2.8 million rides since opening, the three-mile route serves as one of the highest transit ridership areas in the region, connecting riders to major employment centers, entertainment, event destinations, and the regional transit network. 🙌🎉

Due to electrical maintenance, the elevator and fare machines at the Thelda Williams Transit Center and its park-and-ride may be out of service on Thursday, May 21, between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. ADA accessible vans will be on site to transport riders who may need assistance accessing the platform.
Security takes teamwork. Valley Metro works with local police to increase presence, support rides and help improve the transit experience systemwide.

Today marks the seven-year anniversary of the Gilbert Road Extension! 🎉Since opening in 2019, the 1.9-mile light rail extension has expanded access to major employment centers, entertainment and event destinations. 👏
