B - Bases

Bitchin' Bases now has live sales on eBay. I've got most of the 8x8 bases up, and a few 12x12s. Over the next weeks I'll be listing the rest of the bases and sizes.

Bitchin’ Bases are oretty versatile. I used the 12 x 12 Modern CVN carrier deck for my recent VF-84 Tomcat as a starting point. Once painted and finished, I used my 3D printer to make an angle attach for another piece of acrylic sheet. I epoxied it sll up then found a few VF-84 patches - and voila!

BB-07 is US WWII and Korea-era Marston Mat. Laser engraved on sheet acrylic. Durable, accurate and fully paintable/weatherable. 1/48 scale for now.

This one takes *forever* in the laser.

Bitchin’ Bases is ready for the Oct 4 Scale Model Flea Market at American Legion Post 2.

I have most of my laser engraved 1/48 aircraft base designs ready for the show. This is my initial appearance, and Phoenix scale modelers get first crack.

I’ve got US and Japanese WWII carrier decks in several styles, modern US aircraft carrier designs, modern USAF/USN concrete parking spots, and Russian Hex parking spots.

Each set comes with instructions, suggestions, and paint masks for the modern carriers.
