Hispanic Heritage Month has begun!

From September 15 through October 15, we’re celebrating the cultures, traditions, and stories that make our communities unique.

At just 16 years old, Daniel was carrying worries no teenager should have to face.

After his mother was seriously injured and could no longer work, Daniel began wondering if he would have to leave high school to support their household. He worried about bills, caring for his mom, and whether they would have enough food to make it through the week.

Through our SHOW UP! program, he found a supportive community, the opportunity to connect with other students, and something every teenager deserves, the chance to be a kid again.

For 16-year-old Fabricio, learning how to make antibacterial soap and other essential hygiene products is giving him the opportunity to help protect the people around him.

Through Advance Community's partnership with Esperanza Bolivia, Fabricio is gaining practical skills and health knowledge he can share with his family and community!
