NEW SINGLE
This is our new single. It is a re recording of The Killing Moon by Echo &The Bunnymen.We recorded this song for the Last Of The Human Beings album in 2001. I was never that happy with the recording. I had a session drummer on that one and it just wasn’t what I was after. The song has been and continues to be popular in our live set. This recording reflects the live version. We recorded this in 2020 but there were some changes needed and it got put on the back burner. A few months ago, we made the changes that we wanted and now here it is.It should be on all platforms.

The Quakes - Topic 17 likes. "The Killing Moon"

These two songs went live today on all streaming sites.They were recorded in London around October of 1988. Nervous records were putting out a compilation of American rockabilly and
asked me to record a couple of songs.These songs were quite a departure from our first album that was recorded about six months before this. The song “Bounce right back” was not new and we had played it in The Quakes early on. The Devil Can Have My Soul was written specifically for this project. I am playing all of the instruments myself on these two tracks and the were released as a solo project. I released them here as The Quakes or no one would ever find them :-) Paul Roman

The Quakes 1986-2026
Saturday August 1,1987. The Quakes played a show at a place called The Metal Shop. It was a new all ages venue. This show was two months before we moved to London.If you can read the barely legible set list,you'll see that most of the songs ended up on the first album.
