Today we say goodbye to our dear friend, the renowned photographer Dwight Smith.

Dwight had a gift—not just for capturing beautiful images, but for seeing the good in people. His eye for light was matched only by the light he carried within him. A man of deep Christian faith, quick wit, and a joyful spirit, he always showed up with kindness, humor, and a heart tuned toward others.

Whether he was behind the camera or simply in the room, Dwight made life feel a little brighter, a little funnier, and a lot more meaningful. He noticed details the rest of us overlooked—both in his art and in the people he loved.

We are better for having known him.
He leaves a legacy of images, memories, and moments that will continue to speak long after today.

Rest in peace, Dwight. You ran your race well, and we will miss you dearly.

I had the honor of officiating a wedding today in Cave Creek, coinciding with the excitement of Bike Week! Even though it was busy all around, the privacy of the ceremony was not affected.

I am behind on posting reviews from some of the wonderful couples I've had the pleasure of serving. So here's one!

From the moment we began service with Gwen she went above and beyond to get back to us as soon as possible and provide as much information about the wedding process as she could. Gwen had so much patience with us and answered all questions as many times as we asked them. We wanted to add a unity ceremony to the wedding and she worked with us to create the perfect planting ceremony. She also completed this addition to the wedding very quickly. She works so diligently, is so kind, and has so many years of experience to offer that created a calm and wonderful memory. I couldn’t imagine a better experience. Thank you, Gwen!!

Last night, I had the honor of officiating a wedding at Arrowhead Country Club, whose lovely grounds, even during overseeding season, made for a perfect wedding setting. I appreciated the opportunity to work with Jimmy Davenport, who has provided his professional DJ services for me for decades. 

While driving to Villa Siena…..
the bumper-to-bumper traffic on the freeway presented no inconvenience, given the abundance of reading material I had.

Just had an emotional wedding. The groom, and their two witnesses are all in the military. Such a reflective time.
