We are people of God's extravagant welcome. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are always welcome here!

We listen for the still-speaking God. Join us for worship on Sundays at 10:30 am MST at 555 W. Glendale Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona, on the southeast corner of 7th Avenue and Glendale. Our Mission:

Church of the Beatitudes is a joyfully inclusive and diverse community that embraces the many differences that come with being human. We believe that all people are made in the loving image of God and

we recognize many paths to the Holy. Growing in our spiritual and communal life together, we worship, study, and serve our community. Rooted in our history and tradition, we are a progressive Christian voice in the wider world. We are powerful advocates for social justice in our community. We are a vibrant, inspiring, innovative church in changing times. Church of the Beatitudes affirms that every person has worth as a unique creation made in the image of God. We recognize, celebrate and give thanks for the many diverse gifts of God among us. We declare ourselves to be an Open and Affirming congregation, welcoming into the full life and ministry of the Church persons of every race, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability and economic status. Church of the Beatitudes is a community of faith-keeping and faith-seeking people grounded in stories and truths contained in the scriptures. We are open to insights and interpretations of God revealed to us through new experiences, different faiths and diverse cultures. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for the formation of Christian disciples through worship and spiritual enrichment, to offer the education and training for this discipleship and to encourage the practice of this discipleship in the world. We are an Open and Affirming Congregation. What does it mean to be a progressive Christian community? We are an intentionally inclusive community. We recognize the sacred with in all people, as each one of us is a beloved child of God. As people of faith, we recognize our call to work for justice in our world.Explore the many ways that we seek to serve our world. We recognize that families come in many shapes, sizes, and configurations. We celebrate the ways through which God's love is shared with those we call family. We recognize that we are all on a sacred journey. We commit to travel respectfully and in support of our fellow journeyers. This coming Sunday is the first Sunday after Pentecost and Trinity Sunday. Dr. Richard. A Wing will be leading service and will deliver a sermon titled "I'll Be Seeing You in All the Old Familiar Places". Music will be led by Andrez Alcazar and the Beatitudes Song Leaders. Service begins at 10:30am in the Worship Center. We will see you there!

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost is a major Christian holiday celebrated 50 days after Easter. It marks the beginning of the global Christian church, it is widely known as the "Birthday of the Church". The liturgical color is red and is worn to commemorate the Holy Spirit descending upon the apostles as "tongues of fire". This vibrant color symbolizes the burning fire of God's love, the zeal of the early church, and the spiritual power of the Holy Spirit. Rev. Sandi Anthony will be leading service and has prepared a sermon titled, "On-going Inspiration". Music director Andrez Alcazar will present special music during the offertory in honor of Memorial Day on Monday. Stay after service and join Community Life Ministry for social hour in Nelson Hall. All are invited!
