It's hard to understand what you are buying without context. In this video I'm going to cover a good bit of ground and go from Athlete to MISSION, GETAWAY and back.

I'll start with the Atlas Athlete Camera Pack: what it is, why it works, and why customers trust and love it.

Then benchmark everything else against it.

The Athlete is a serious pack for serious work. But not every day requires a serious setup. Sometimes you need something smaller, lighter, less conspicuous, without all the features, and at a lower price point.

These are all the things I was thinking about when I set out to build Atlas ONE, I wasn't trying to replace the Athlete. I was trying to fill the gaps based on feedback from thousands of customers.

The Atlas ONE - MISSION is very much a hybrid pack. It's a direct descendant, same harness, same camera-first philosophy, same Origami Core DNA. Everything that makes the Athlete work, compressed into an everyday carry.

With the MISSION you get storage for water bladder and laptop, carry-on compliance and everyday versatility. You also get covert quick access to camera gear and you can take it to a coffee shop without looking like you're going on assignment or just got done hiking Everest.

GETAWAY was born on a different branch, it's not part of the Athlete family tree but it is very much driven by it's Atlas heritage.

There is of course overlap between MISSION and GETAWAY but there are also distinct differences. MISSION is camera-first and travel second. GETAWAY is travel-first and camera second.

For trail use and active carry, MISSION's harness and hip belt compatibility are what you need. For travel, GETAWAY's luggage way gives it the edge.

In a perfect world I want you to get both, that way you don't have to choose. All Atlas ONE accessories from the CapCASE to the Velex Pouches are designed to work in both so you can build out the parts you need for you kit and put them in both packs.

These packs aren't competing with each other. They're meeting your needs for different days. Stop buying bags that promise to do everything, it will just be a waste of your time and money.
