Would you grow the world’s tiniest tomatoes or would harvesting these drive you absolutely insane? 👀

I never thought I’d become the type of person who gets excited over cucumbers… but here we are 😂🥒

For YEARS I just tolerated cucumbers because the ones from the grocery store always tasted watery and bland to me. But after growing Armenian cucumbers this summer, I finally understand the hype.

These things are:
✨ extra crunchy
✨ flavorful
✨ refreshing
✨ HUGE
✨ and somehow survive Arizona heat like absolute champions

Meanwhile every other cucumber variety I tried before basically gave up on life in my garden 😭

So today I harvested two Armenian cucumbers and made the easiest summer cucumber salad:

🥒 2 Armenian cucumbers, sliced thin
💧 1/4 cup cold water
🍶 1/3 cup vinegar
🧂 salt + pepper to taste
🍯 drizzle of honey
🌿 dried dill from the garden

Mix everything together and let it sit for 1 hr in fridge before eating.

Simple, refreshing, crunchy perfection ☀️

At this point, Armenian cucumbers have officially earned permanent space in my summer garden.

Now tell me — what’s your favorite cucumber variety and what recipes do you love making with them? 👀👇

For THREE years I failed at growing cucumbers in the Arizona desert 😩☀️
The pests destroyed them.
Powdery mildew took over.
And the brutal heat scorched whatever was left.
Every single summer, I thought I was the problem.
But this year, I stopped choosing plants based only on what I like to eat… and started researching what actually thrives in Arizona’s climate.
That changed everything.
And that’s when I discovered the Armenian cucumber 🌿
Friend… this plant is an absolute BEAST.
It grows aggressively, climbs fast, handles the heat way better than my regular cucumbers ever did, and I’ve already had to add more trellises just to keep up with it.
But the flavor? THAT’S what shocked me most.
It’s crisp, mild, slightly sweet, refreshing, and doesn’t have that watered-down taste some cucumbers get. It’s honestly perfect for summer salads, fresh snacking, or just eating straight out of the garden.
And these things get MASSIVE.
Like… one cucumber can easily feed 2–3 people. I’m dead serious 😂
So if you’ve struggled growing cucumbers in a hot climate, this might be the variety you’ve been missing.
Not every plant is meant for every environment — but once you find the right fit, gardening gets a whole lot easier 💚
Now… I still haven’t mastered powdery mildew, so if you have tips that actually work, drop them below because I’m definitely listening 👀👇

After a full month of extraction, this olive leaf tincture is finally ready to be strained and bottled 🌿
Olive leaf has been used for generations in traditional herbal practices because of its powerful antioxidant and antimicrobial compounds, especially oleuropein. Many people use it to support immune health, inflammation, heart health and overall wellness.
It was also included in Dr. Sebi’s herbal protocols, which introduced many people to the idea of using herbs as preventative wellness support.
One thing I love about herbalism is learning not only the benefits of a plant, but also its contraindications and how to use it responsibly.
Olive leaf can be consumed as:
🌿 tinctures
🌿 teas
🌿 capsules
🌿 glycerites
🌿 herbal blends
And because it may affect blood sugar and blood pressure levels, it’s always important to research interactions before adding herbs into your routine.
Nature gives us powerful tools — but wisdom is knowing how to use them 💚

One thing I’ve learned about gardening in Arizona is that sometimes the simplest solutions work the best 🌱☀️
Instead of spending a ton of money on fancy trellises, I use mason ladders from Home Depot for my cucumbers. They’re inexpensive, fit perfectly in small spaces, and help my plants grow vertically without taking over the whole bed.
But the best part? As the cucumber vines grow, the leaves create natural shade for the more tender plants underneath — which is a lifesaver during our intense summer heat.
I love finding ways to make the garden work smarter while keeping things affordable and productive 💚
Would you try this in your garden?
