First Lady Sweet was awarded the PRC Board of Directors Community Hero Award 2026 on June 9th for her leadership in the work of Emmanuel’s Community Outreach Department/Missions Department.

We will continue to be light and salt in our community.

Historically, Emmanuel has been light and salt in the Central City South community, aka “Original West Side” of Phoenix, with a longstanding commitment to ministry and service.

Addiction, unhoused individuals, violence, and poverty are NOT our community’s portion!

We believe in something greater for our community… freedom and transformation!

We have answered the call to be the agents of change in our community.
