⚠️ An Important Update on Crit for a Cause

I need to be brutally honest with you all — Crit for a Cause is shutting down indefinitely.

This isn’t burnout. This isn’t lack of sales. This is the reality of where we are as a country right now.

The new tariffs have already jacked up supply costs to the point where producing ethical, donation-based dice is becoming financially reckless — and with the recent cuts to SNAP/EBT, I cannot stand behind the idea of running a “charity-driven” business while families literally can’t afford groceries. I am not going to be part of the problem. If someone is deciding between feeding their kid and buying dice from me? I refuse to even allow that choice to exist.

And with my move to Vegas and not even starting my new job until late November, I realistically won’t have operational time again until maybe January — and that’s assuming the country doesn’t light itself on fire before then.

So — for the foreseeable future — Crit for a Cause is closing. I may still take the occasional custom request if it is purposeful and for direct impact, but the regular shop, launches, all of it — paused with intention, not abandoned in silence.

I want to say this clearly: I’ve seen your messages. The check-ins, the love, the “are you okay?” — I genuinely cannot thank you enough. This community has always been real, not performative. It means more than you know.

The Discord will remain open — not as a storefront hub, but as a hangout tavern. If you want to stay, chat, share dice pics, hype each other’s projects, scream about the state of the world — you are more than welcome. I built this space for community, and that part will not be taken away.

I hate that this feels political, but human rights are not a “both sides” topic. People are starving. Marriage equality is at risk. Women’s rights are on the chopping block. I refuse to play pretend small business while the world burns.

Thank you for loving this project as much as I did. This isn’t forever. But it is for now.

Depression can be overwhelming. But I got through the tough part and created some dice.

We had an amazing time at this event!! We made some new friends and got our dice in new hands!
