An unprogrammed Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. Meeting for Contemplative Worship is held Sundays from 10-11am.
Although Quakers are diverse in their beliefs and practices, Quakers affirm “that there is that of God in everyone” and know the Divine in a direct relationship rather than through an Intermediary, Sacraments, or Recitation of a creed. Friends often speak of holding some thing, someone or some situation "in the Light". This guided meditation is based on the writings of Friends' founder, George Fox, updated to modern English. It is his description of how to invite that Light to come forth while sitting silently. All are welcome to join!
