Bisley 2026 World Championships are approaching quickly!
If you had one of our 7mm barrels from years ago and tried it and weren't satisfied, we listened, we recognized issues and we changed. We have totally revamped all of our tooling for the 7mm. Here is a blank, 8.5tw right out of the sine bar machine. This is one of our NL barrels (Narrow Land). The NL rifling profile is what won the last F Class World Championships in South Africa. We do not normally offer this to the general competition competitor for one reason, barrel life. The NL will always perform better than a ~28-30% conventional land to groove ratio as it distorts the projectile less. The downfall? Barrel life is about 75% of what you would normally get. The NL is 22-24% land to groove ratio. These will all be competing in the world championships in England this August.

Customer calls up on Thursday and asks for lead time on an action, our reply is we have every configuration in stock and ready to ship. In my opinion this is how it should be and was our goal from the beginning of the launch of our actions. Having to wait 10+ months for an action can be extremely discouraging to someone wanting to get a build going right away. Oh you need a stock? Barrel? Have those in stock also. Oh you want it bedded, rad installed, cleared? Not a problem. We are down to having the quickest lead times in the industry to help you get to competing!
After salt bath nitride processing, the bolt bodies get the bolt face surface ground parallel to the lug thrust faces and perpendicular to the centerline axis of the bolt body diameter. Here is how we check these features before the final assembly.

We are starting to put a hex in the end of the modular bolt handles so the customer can remove and install different configurations without having to use a collet or double nut the handles to remove and install.

We stopped selling barrel blanks a few months ago. Not because they weren't accurate, not because they don't win World Championships and National Championships, but because we lose money on them. We make sure our barrels are as close to what we call perfect as we can.
Labor cost is the main reason with the constantly rising cost of electricity and steel prices.
Labor prices, with what we need to pay our employees are much higher than some other states that barrel makers are in, so it makes it difficult to pay our employees a good living wage in Phoenix, AZ and be competitive with our barrel prices.
Even when buying thousands of pounds of 416 at a time with cost being in the tens of thousands to keep cost per unit down.
We will continue to make 7mm and 30 cal barrels for our builds and our customers that we chamber for with our actions. We will CNC chamber for our actions and we will CNC chamber non 7mm and 30 cal barrels for customers if they desire. Essentially we can recoup some of the lost money from making the barrels with the chambering.
With that said, getting messages like this makes all the extra work we put into our barrels seem worth it.
Thank you to our barrel customers over the years, we will still be making barrels, just not supplying blanks for others to chamber.

The Nightforce NX8 was the perfect optic for this build which is all built on a MC3 stock. She made a spectacular 763 yard shot on this 9 year old buck in Arizona last week.
