Small friend alert! Please share George! He’s looking for a home to call his very own! 💞
🎂Age: 8-10 years and still full of so much life!
🐕Size: 15lbs
👍🏼Likes: Walks, bully sticks, snuggles
🙅🏼♂️Dislikes: Lots of commotion (although he is not bothered by monsoons), so a quiet home is best.
🌅Early bird by nature. He loves an early morning walk and will gladly sit on your porch with you while you sip your coffee.
😀Personality: Curious, cuddly, fun-loving, and just a little bit mischievous. He takes re-direction very well, walks awesome on a leash, and knows how to have fun! He makes me laugh on a daily basis.
🐾Dogs/Cats: George prefers the company of another easy going dog, big or small. He doesn’t like being around lots of dogs at once, so no dog parks please.
🏥Medical: George has a heart murmur that is being managed well by medication. Total cost is ~$80/month
George is adoptable through Arizona Chihuahua Rescue 🐾

❤️ Ten year old Izzy needs a home 🚨
Izzy is a loved dog who’s owner was an in accident and will not be coming home. ❤️🩹 Izzy needs a family to love her amidst this change in her life— a place for her to call home.
Izzy is a sweet girl, good with dogs and children. She’d be a wonderful addition to a home. She does have some hearing and vision loss as she is into her senior years, but still has plenty to offer. She is about 40 pounds.
Please reach out to Becky right away ‼️ if you can help by text or call (520) 730-9746
Izzy is currently in the Tucson area.

This is the best smile we’ve seen all day, juuuuust saying 😁
This cute pup is adoptable ➡️➡️ Arrow ⬅️⬅️
Arrow is a two year old boy that can be a little shy at first, but he has warmed up quickly to his volunteer pals. He’s a nice guy that will give affection, show off his cute little sit, and he doesn’t seem to mind other dogs in passing.
Arrow would be such an awesome pup for a person who is okay knowing the first meet may take a bit of time before he feels like he’s ready to be BFFs. But taking that extra time to let him feel comfortable with be totally worth it in the end, because as you can see, this pup is sweet as can be!
Arrow is adoptable at the MCACC East shelter - 2630 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Mesa

💟 Meet Itachi 💟
💜Maybe you’ve been thinking about welcoming a new buddy into your life…
💜Maybe you have a friend who has been searching for a pup
💜💜💜Take a look at Itachi and Share ↗️
Itachi is an adoptable pup at the MCACC West shelter, but he recently had the chance to have a little outing around town. 🐾🐾
Itachi did great hiking, dining on an outdoor patio and checking out the pool at his host’s home! He relished his time out and even settled in for a snooze 😴 in the car. Itachi was friendly with every person he encountered and didn’t pay any mind to dogs from a distance.
We know Itachi is absolutely adorable 😍😍😍 but we want you to know he absolutely has the personality to match!

Anemone is a fitting name for this pretty little wildflower. 🌼 While not the easiest name to pronounce, it sure does suit her. 🥰
This girl is all of 45 pounds and two years old. She’s fun and spunky and seems to enjoy the company of humans of all ages. Sometimes she’s a little distracted with everything going on, but in a more relaxed environment we know she’s a total doll baby❣️
Anemone has been waiting for someone to pick her since September! She’d love for 2024 to be her year. ✨
Anemone is not looking to share her home with other animals at this time. ✴️
Shelter location: Maricopa county animal care East: 2630 W Rio Salado Pkwy Mesa AZ

Ximena makes falling in love easy. 🥰❤️🫶🏽
Ximena gives love freely. She’s enthusiastic about getting affection and attention! It’s a shame she’s been waiting for a home two months at the shelter, because it’s so clear she really just wants a person to love! As soon as she is out of her kennel, all she really wants is to adore you and be adored!
Ximena was found stray with a large male dog who has since been adopted. We don’t know very much about her preferences with other animals beyond that, but a nice slow introduction is always smart when it comes to integrating a new pet!
Ximena is about 5 years old and 60 pounds
Meet her at the MCACC West shelter - 2500 S 27th Ave, Phoenix AZ

“Can we take our time getting to know each other?”
🥺
Sassafras is a two year old girl who would love someone with the patience to take things slow while she learns to feel safe. A timid girl who really needs a home to decompress in. She can be reluctant to enter her kennel or go back to the shelter building after time in the yard— and we can’t blame her. ☹️ After all, the shelter has been her “home” since October.
Her journey to the shelter began after she was picked up by a kind citizen who found her while working a job. She was thirsty and exhausted when she was picked up, and out of sorts in the shelter. A home could really do wonders for her!
Sassafras is a beautiful girl that weighs in at 60 pounds.
We don’t know how she is with other dogs at this time, so slow introductions are going to be best. She will likely appreciate slow introductions to all new friends and experiences for some time. ❤️🩹
Are you a special person that could provide the home Sassafras needs? She’s at MCACC East - 2630 W Rio Salado Pkwy Mesa

We need someone to see Bailey for the beauty that she is. 🥰
Bailey has been waiting for someone to adopt her since September! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if she went into the new year with a new family?
Bailey is sweet, gentle and friendly girl who enjoys petting and attention. She also enjoys a yummy snack and won’t hold back with a delicious treat. 😋 (Although she is still quite polite!) Bailey has been described as “a total lover.” And doesn’t this world really just need a little more love? 💕💕💕💕
💗 Bailey seems to enjoy the company of polite humans of all ages.
💗 We aren’t 100% sure her preferences on other animals, but several volunteers have had her out and about and she doesn’t seem to mind other pups in passing. The shelter will discuss if your pups at home might be a good fit, as well as tips for appropriate introductions!
Some quick little deets:
Estimated 3 years old
54 pounds

Roommate feature: meet Slugger and Fig ❣️ Two adoptable boys looking for homes to call their own! They are currently sharing a kennel at the West shelter, and they are ready to be adopted!
Slugger is a personality packed puppy! He can be a little pesty with his role model, Fig, but he means well! Thankfully Fig seems to tolerate him for now, and if he goes to a home with another dog, it would be awesome if it was another tolerant buddy to keep showing him the ropes! Walking on leash is new for Slugger, and he’s eager about all things fun — like treats and play! Slugger is the smaller tan boy. He’s believed to be about a year old and he’s under 30 pounds!
Fig is a little more reserved, sort of the strong and silent type. 🖤 But we think he may be starting to warm up a little more! He will want his new family to give him time and space to feel comfortable while he adjusts to his new life. He has been been calm and easy to walk on leash. Fig is estimated to be 2 years old, and he’s about 55 pounds.
Fig and Slugger do not need to be adopted together at this time! Sometimes buddies like to stay together and sometimes they enjoy starting fresh with families of their own to fit into. 💟 Meet them yourself and see if either or both would be a fir for you!

🩷 Happy puppy waiting for you! 🩷
Isn’t Leda adorable? This petite little puppy is about a year old, and she’s as playful and sweet as they come! She loves snuggles and play time with squeaky toys! She won’t turn down a nice walk either!
A family found Leda as a stray and they had her in their home for a few days. They shared that she was very friendly and good with the kids but does jump up when excited. ☺️ They also shared that she appeared to be house trained.
Leda is adoptable at Maricopa County’s West shelter, where her adoption fee is currently waived! Visit 2500 S 27th Ave in Phoenix to meet her!
**The shelter is beyond over-capacity and looking for fosters and adopters to alleviate the strain!
