I found a hidden dirt road by accident and wanted to see where it went, and it led to this stunning view of a lake surrounded by fall colors! 🍁

I don’t know about you, but fall is my favorite season! (Even though we don’t really get real fall in Phoenix 😂)

This shot was from my Colorado roadtrip last year! The colors had started to turn but on the very last day I headed home the mountains got snow! Needless to say I was super excited 😁(and I’d never seen this spot so busy)

What started initially as a fishing trip with a friend () ended up as a great sunset photo shoot as well! It was a great day all around, and we caught about 20 (small) fish each as a bonus.

This bird looks pretty comfortable sitting on that cholla cactus. It definitely doesn't look like a great spot to sit for me though! I saw this little guy while out on an early-morning hike this weekend. At the time I didn't know what kind of bird it was, but after doing research I learned that this is a Cactus Wren, which is also Arizona's state bird. Seems fitting to me!

Sedona is such a magical place!! I love the evening light here illuminating the water and Cathedral Rock.

Here's a sunset from quite possibly Arizona's most famous location. I had seen it many times in photos before but it is incredible to see in person. This photo is from a few years ago on a roadtrip through Arizona and southern Utah, but I hope to make it back here sometime soon.

Sunrises in the desert are the best.

Don’t these cacti kinda look like stairs? Or a platforming puzzle in a video game? Saguaros are so cool! .

Funny story... This shot looks like one that you would spend hours planning the exact time and day when the moon would rise above Cathedral Rock, but this wasn't planned at all -- in fact, I just stumbled upon the composition as I headed back to my car from the other viewpoint where I originally planned to shoot.

The moral of the story is don't be afraid to branch out, deviate from your original plan, and explore a bit! If I hadn't, I would have only gotten the photo I planned to make, but I ended up with 2 keepers instead of 1!
