Concordia Lutheran Church was founded in 1951 by the Rev. Dr. Guido Merkens with 34 charter members. From the very beginning, Concordia's purpose and mission were clear: to reach the lost and disciple those who are found. Dr. Merkens spared no effort and considered every idea to share the hope of the gospel with everyone. Such an entrepreneurial commitment to witness remains among Concordia's members today, now over 8,600 strong.

Nominations for the 2023 Guido Merkens Award are now being accepted. Fill out the form below to submit your nomination. This award will be presented at the 2023 Best Practices for Ministry Conference at Christ Church Lutheran in Phoenix Feb. 16 - 18.

This is your last chance to submit a proposal to speak at BPM 2023. Submissions are due at the end of today. We will be opening up registration and voting for sessions in October.
Sessions chosen and room assignments are given based on what attendants are most beneficial to their ministry.
