We’ve all been in the “pit” one way or another. So many ways to help people. Doesn’t have to be big, it could be a smile, word of encouragement, maybe it is driving with them somewhere they are nervous about. Don’t be afraid to start each day asking God to show you how you can help people. Sometimes the answer to prayer is YOU.

Working hard to help our Veterans get off the streets every day!

We all have things we need to humble ourselves to and accept the grace Jesus extends. I’m wobbly, on my best day. Lord, hear our prayers today and help us towards humility and receiving your grace.

Sometimes, all you need is an advocate. That is what the Chaplaincy provides, a spiritual advocate. one more beloved off the streets.

Someone once said, “you only have a problem when you lose perspective.”

Being grateful brings new perspective. It always touched my heart when we would give a single piece of candy to a homeless client and they would be almost in tears at the act of kindness.

They were grateful for the one piece of candy.

Think of all the things we can be grateful for?
