Keep public lands in public hands. Our public lands are in grave danger once again. The roadless rule has protected millions of acres of old growth forest in America. Like this old growth sugar pine tree. The largest and most massive pines in the world. Also including the Amazon rainforest of North America, the Tongass national forest in Alaska. These areas are where no logging, no oil drilling, and no mining is allowed. But any American can go enjoy these beautiful intact native habitats. Roadless areas are also 5 times more fire resistant than areas with roads. Corrupt senators and the forest service are pushing this as wildfire prevention. That’s a blatant lie. It’s about old growth logging. They want the last 2% of old growth forest left in America to log for profit. And want to build gold mines and oil wells where native biodiversity once thrived. We are running out of time to save our public land. Contact the forest service and let them know. No new roads on public land to log even more old growth, and plant the next monoculture plantation mega fire. Protect our public lands.
