Enhancing health & quality of life in Greater Phoenix and the Tri-State region of northern Arizona.

BHHS Legacy Foundation and Legacy Connection share a joint mission to enhance the quality of life and health of those we serve. We do this by funding grants to health-related nonprofits, nurturing collaborative partnerships, and raising funds through Legacy Connection for grant funding to support community organizations that work to promote good health.

The 2026 KIDS COUNT Data Book by the Annie E. Casey Foundation was just released, and Arizona has moved up to 40th in the nation for overall child well-being (up from 42nd last year). While this is a step in the right direction, the data shows that local families are still facing immense financial pressure.

When a child is seriously ill, family is the best medicine.

Since 2007, BHHS Legacy Foundation has been honored to support Ronald McDonald House Central and Northern Arizona. Through the Keeping Families Together Program, families traveling from the Tri-State region for specialized medical care in metro Phoenix can find a comforting, cheerful home-away-from-home at absolutely no cost.

Instead of dealing with hotel bills and isolation, these families get to stay together, find peer support, and focus on what matters most: helping their child heal.

The collaboration gets even better—Gregory's Fresh Market andCheck for a Lump are stepping up to bring mobile mammography services directly to local clinic locations. When local leaders link arms, our entire community thrives.
