This session will provide the tools for participants to develop a curriculum to teach youth about the fundamentals of cat rescue and ownership, with an emphasis on community outreach.

She’s All Cat facilitates youth cat camps, and presentations in classrooms and school assemblies.

The participants are taught nine different subjects about cats, culminating in a graduation where they earn a certificate with the official title of "AdvoCAT." This instills in participants a sense of ownership and empowerment. Retention in the program is measured through monthly meetings, in person or via Zoom.

This session will unpack this strategy and offer insight how to run a similar program in your own community.

Missy will take you through the details of

-Developing age-appropriate educational materials

- Providing training for teachers

- Organizing interactive workshops and presentations

- Establishing a support network

Missy Pruitt (She's All Cat) lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her 7.5 cats. Missy founded Arizona's first cat cafe, La Gattara, in 2017. Currently, Missy has created a non-profit educational program called The
Arizona AdvoCATs, aiming to end the pandemic of homeless cats with youth-focused educational programs.

Missy has helped legislation in animal welfare, including Matthew's Law, and is a Humane Policy Volunteer Leader for the Humane Society of the United States. She's also written three children's books about cats.

Through her brand "She's All Cat", Missy has dedicated her life to being an advocate for cats through education and community.

Missy will be accompanied by Bunny the Purrmaid for the weekend.
