Join the Phoenix VA Health Care System for our second Veggies for Veterans event of the year at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, July 9. We will once again be giving out 600 bags of fresh fruits and vegetables to Veterans while supplies last. Sponsors for this event will include: Gregory's Fresh Market, Legacy Foundation, Fry's Food Stores’s, Arizona Complete Health, and Peddler's Son.

Temporary Closure- Southwest VA Clinic

Due to facility-related HVAC repairs, the Southwest VA Clinic located at 9250 W. Thomas Rd. in Phoenix, AZ will be closed for onsite services until further notice.

Veterans with scheduled appointments are being contacted directly regarding care options.
When medically appropriate, appointments may be converted to VA Video Connect or telephone visits.
Veterans requiring in-person care will be offered appointments at alternate VA locations or the option to reschedule.
Veterans with questions can communicate with their providers via secure messaging or can call 602-277-5551.

Struggling with Sleep? You’re Not Alone. Sleep difficulties are very common and can affect your energy, mood, and overall health. They can also make it harder to manage other medical conditions. The good news: effective help is available for the two most common sleep concerns—insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea. Getting high-quality sleep is just as important as staying active and eating well. Better sleep can make a real difference in your daily life.
The Veterans Health Library – Path to Better Sleep program offers easy-to-follow tools to help you understand and improve your sleep. The program includes four key parts:
• Screen for Sleep Disorders
• Understand Sleep Hygiene
• Self-Manage Insomnia
• Learn About Sleep Apnea
