This is the current headquarters of the Phoenix Police Department. It was opened in 1974 and has served the department well for 48 years. The police department is scheduled to move into the former Wells Fargo building located at 100 W. Washington St in 2022.

In the early 1990s, The Phoenix Police Department started bicycle squads. These squads were used to help officers patrol areas where vehicle couldn't reach. The officers also helped with special events and bicycle safety programs. Did anyone attend a bicycle safety rodeo?
