Come experience the tension, release, and raw possibility that emerge when drama is the game of the scene. Here, characters donât back down from hard conversations and improvisers donât back down from truth, risk, or accountability. Relationships are tested. Stakes rise. People change. Or they donât. Either way, you get to watch it all unfold moment to moment, right alongside the artists creating it in real time.
This Sunday, April 19th at 7pm.

Asaf Ronen hails from the improv stronghold of Austin Texas (and rocked NYC before that) and is literally a world-class performer, teacher, and director! The author of seminal improv book, Directing Improv: Show the Way by Getting Out of the Way, he's positively changed people's improv journeys from coast to coast and even globally.
Experience the legend that is Asaf and learn from one of the best teachers you'll ever work with!

Hi, all! The Bridge Improv Theater is a place thatâs near and dear to my heart and itâs become a great pillar of the valley wide improv community. The past year has been tough with several unexpected challenges that have threatened to make continuing unviable. Weâre undertaking multiple efforts to ensure that the doors stay open and there are many ways for people to help!
If youâre able, please donate to the Bridgeâs GoFundMe campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/f/keep-the-bridge-improv-theater-alive
One really simple and fun way is to catch a show at the Bridge (located at Mesa Riverview, just off Dobson & the 202). Shows are at 7pm and 8:30pm, every Friday and Saturday ($12 online, $15 at the door). If youâve been saying forever that you need to catch a show, this is the zero hour to make that happen!
And of course, a really easy and free way to help is to share this post. It takes just a second!
Thank you!

GHOSTFEST 2025 is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Laurie Shellenbarger who passed earlier this month.
For nearly 20 years, Laurie was a dedicated and beloved member of the valleyâs improv scene, making significant contributions of her time, energy, and talent to several improv troupes and by volunteering countless hours with Second Beat Improv Theater, The Torch Theatre, the Phoenix Improv Festival, SAVI Fest, and Ghostfest. In addition to her impact locally, she was also a part of the greater improv world through her involvement with Camp Improv Utopia.
Well known for her kindness, her warm smile, and her devotion to animal rescue efforts, she is already terribly missed and remembered fondly. We send our deepest condolences to her husband, Shane, her friends, her improv teammates, and all who loved her. Thank you so much, Laurie, for all that you brought to our lives.
