Summer has gone. Now it's time to go back to school. We are offering school sports physicals.
How come my insurance won't cover wegovy? It's FDA approved.
I hear this all the time. Insurance is different from the FDA. Just because the FDA approves a medication doesn't mean that the insurance company will automatically start covering it.
It maybe a year or two before it's covered or never. That's up to the insurance company.
Why does wegovy cost so much? It's not the medicine. It's the applicator. According to some people.
Why is it cheaper in Canada or Mexico? Different country. Different laws.
I guess we all knew this was coming. Novo Nordisk, the makers of Wegovy, is starting to sue med spa's, compounding pharmacies, etc. for selling knock off semiglutide.
Novo Nordisk also admitted that some patients may have to be on Wegovy for the rest of their lives to keep the weight off.
I guess we will see what happens next.
