Behind the Scenes: Prelude

In early 2023, when our ideas for the mascots and robots were coming to fruition, I wrote a two page outline story for Sunset and Meteor: two robots from a distant planet who crash-land in Arizona in the 1920s.

I sent it to with the idea of turning it into a comic book, and giving it away for free in the program guide to .

These images are Travis' initial pencils for the first five pages of that prelude story, which would go on to be included in Book One: Danger Lurks Below.

Thank you, Seattle!

Our Mascots and Brand Ambassadors had a great time meeting many of you at this past weekend.

While Sunset and Meteor crashed landed in Arizona, y'all made them feel at home. It was such fun watching young kids walk up in awe at our mascots.

Especially memorable was one kid who looked up and kept saying, "I know someone is in there!"

(Sorry, no surprise, just a mannequin).

Hello All,
I had some thoughts around the robot names.
These are just my very first ideas....and I am open to any others.
Sunset and Meteor ...named after the craters that they each created here in AZ."
