Here’s what’s coming up for Position Sports this month. 📆

In October 2024, Position Sports and the Basketball Hall of Fame announced that Allegiant Stadium will host its first-ever college basketball games in 2027, opening the season in marquee fashion. Two premier matchups will headline the event with Duke vs. Arizona and Kansas vs. Indiana, delivering elite competition to one of the country’s newest venues. The game will open year five of the , an annual series bringing high-profile college basketball matchups to major US markets, connecting fans nationwide with the sport’s premier programs, and making a lasting impact in each community along the way.

The 2024 Modelo Vegas Kickoff Classic delivered everything college football fans could ask for. Two storied college football programs in USC and LSU kicked off the 2024 season with a bang, setting the then-Allegiant Stadium record as 63,969 fans flooded the building. The thrilling matchup came down to the final eight seconds as USC completed a late drive with a 13-yard rushing touchdown to give them a 27-20 lead. Position Sports supported this Las Vegas Bowl event on the operations, project, marketing, and communications fronts.

In early May, the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame held its annual Gala and Induction Ceremony at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada.

A flawless 80 degree day in Southern Nevada welcomed the annual Las Vegas Bowl Golf Outing & Social out of Southern Highlands. Twenty-five groups consisting of 100 members of the bowl community gathered for a day on the green followed by an afternoon Social.

Position Sports supported the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame leading up to and during the 2023 Enshrinement Weekend. The annual two-day event draws basketball icons, commentators, and community members to Springfield, MA and Mohegan Sun for a weekend of festivities. The 2023 class welcomed notable figures including Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Becky Hammon, Tony Parker, Pau Gasol, and Gregg Popovich. Our team supported media operations, public relations, photography and videography, social media coverage, graphic design, and worked alongside NBA TV on a televised press conference.

The 2026 Nike Girls EYBL season tipped off in Phoenix, AZ where all EYBL Champions and EYBL teams competed under one roof as the Road to Nike Nationals commenced.

We’re continuing to celebrate 20 years of Position Sports by looking back on events that shaped our story. In 2022, Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews made history, breaking the then-NBA All-Star three-point record by sinking 23 of 25 shots in 66 seconds. That record-breaking moment set the foundation for Red Bull Run the Racks, a competition that brought this energy to hoopers across the country. Position Sports’ scope of work included sourcing the facility, rental contracts, and equipment branding.
