New Pathways for Youth

This week we're celebrating the Community Grant we received from Taco Bell! These funds will ensure our youth have the support, stability, and skills they need to flourish. At New Pathways for Youth, we honor that legacy through Caminos, our mentorship initiative that connects Latino youth with mentors who understand their experiences, honor their identities, and walk alongside them as they build their futures.

Recently, the Caminos Advisory Council gathered for the Caminos Retreat to assess its progress, define its North Star, and welcome its newest member and our very own mentor, Sylvana Carrete!

It was a full day of learning, sharing, laughter, and asking tough questions as we explored how to better position ourselves to reach more Latino professionals and build a more resonant, culturally diverse community of mentors.

We are grateful to Angela Salazar from Semilla Consulting LLC for her invaluable guidance and partnership throughout this process. And to all the Caminos Advisory members, we are so proud of what you are making possible for our youth!

We had our first Planning with Purpose session yesterday morning, and we're proud to equip our community with the resources they need to plan ahead financially!

Thank you to our guest speaker, Jessica Clark, for walking us through the essentials of estate planning and explaining the key differences between wills, trusts, and directives to help protect our loved ones.

Our next Planning with Purpose session is coming up on Tuesday, November 17th where we'll explore charitable giving strategies that may help reduce your tax burden, maximize available deductions, and allow more of your gift to support the causes that matter most to you.

Hands-on learning in action! 🛠️ Our youth and mentor matches spent the weekend exploring the Universal Technical Institute campus, diving into different career paths and seeing what’s possible after high school. We’re all about exposing our young people to every option so they can confidently build their own future. 💡
