Teamwork makes the dream work. 💜🧡
Our NPFY team recently spent a day reconnecting and recharging. We kicked things off with an inspiring visit to Rosie's House: A Music Academy for Children, where we learned more about their incredible mission and the power of music education. A huge thank you to their team for hosting us and letting us try our hand at some instruments! 🎸🎹
We then had a competitive scavenger hunt at Dave & Buster’s and ended the day with some arcade games. At NPFY, we believe that play isn't just fun, it’s an essential part of how we grow, bond, and serve our community. ✨

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re sharing why joy is a vital part of our work at New Pathways for Youth. Many of the young people we serve have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) that can impact their developing brains, bodies, and sense of self.
That’s why our programming is intentionally trauma-informed, built to create safety, connection, and moments of play that help young people feel seen, supported, and hopeful about what’s next.
Read more about our trauma-informed practices and the role joy plays in our mission at the link below. 💜🧡

Moments that change everything. 📸
These are the moments when our youth are matched with their mentor and they begin their journey together. We create our matches with intentionality, ensuring our youth and mentors are set up for success from day one.
