Jenny Abeyta got handed her B.A. in Installation Art then stumbled headfirst into Property Design. In the 8 years of creative work to follow, she has created everything from magical cakes to dragons, always readying the strange projects that live anywhere within the blurry realm of costume, prop and set. Her work has won her several Arizoni Awards, Best in Show for Puppetry at the AACT Design Competition, and was highlighted in Forbes magazine for the immersive experience of Curiouser and Curiouser.

Join us in welcoming Gail Wolfenden-Steib in a workshop at Low-Water Immersion Dyeing at our Meet and Greet!

Gail is an award-winning costume designer and technician with extensive experience in costume construction, dyeing, and painting. She has presented master classes in dyeing and painting at numerous conferences, schools, and festivals across the country.

Gail also teaches low-water immersion dyeing—the technique featured in this workshop—as part of Mesa Community College’s THP 206: Introduction to Costume course during the fall and spring semesters.

She spent 23 seasons as the Costume Painter and Dyer for the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival and holds an MFA in Scenography from Arizona State University. Gail currently serves as the Performing Arts Center Costume Shop Coordinator at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona.

Brianna is a Sound Engineer who has been working in Arizona for nearly a decade. She is currently the Sound and Media Supervisor for the School of Music, Dance, and Theatre at Arizona State University. Brianna is from Tucson, AZ where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and minored in Theatre Arts at the University of Arizona. Having worked as a Sound Engineer at Arizona Theatre Company as well as the Phoenix Theatre Company over the years along with work done in non-theatrical venues, she is always looking for ways to pass on any knowledge and experience she can to those who are working in the theatre industry.
