I felt like adding some color to my page; enjoy!

I would like to start using this page to show more than just my photography skills, so I am going to begin including finished projects for classes that I have taken or am currently in. Here is my first graphic design posting:

Forced slavery is a major, current issue that many people do not think twice about because of how inhumane and vile of a business it is. This dark industry is thought to profit more than $150,000,000,000 globally each year and demand is on the rise; many fake local signs have been appearing around various parts of the Midwest, including Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois, seeking "help wanted" with few details about work, while also asking for major commitments in order to be interviewed (automated messages when called, mock office setups, no location listed on sign, etc.; usually targeting college females including a "$___/week guarantee).

Last semester in my Technical Visualization course, each group was asked to choose a nonprofit organization to create infographics for. We chose Operation Underground Railroad because we wanted to help raise awareness on campus starting within the classroom. My job was to have general facts about human trafficking displayed on an 18X24 document setup. This is my first time creating a digital graphic like this and the design process definitely helped me improve my technical skills in various Adobe programs; it's been a couple of months since I finished this project and there are a few things I'd like to change, however I hope the alarming facts displayed speak to you and help create a mental visualization of how horrible of an issue this really is. I'll get around to making some changes so everyone can see my growth, but I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out thus far!

Operation Underground Railroad is a non-profit that specializes in extracting children that are forced into human slavery. If you would like to know more about this organization or feel called to to donate to their mission, you can visit the OUR homepage at http://ourrescue.org/
