We made an appearance at Angelo State University for last weekend and had a time celebrating out there with our viewers. I ate some good food and got to know the team even better. Major s/o to them.

Yesterday was my first appearance to the people of Abilene! We had a great time. Showing up to the West Texas Fair and Rodeo, you know I had to dress the part. This is new to me but I’m so grateful for everything and everyone who molded me. From the jobs I’ve had to the great conversations, some great people took part in me being where I am today. This is a new book and I don’t event think I’ve hit chapter one. Matter of fact, this is the preface. I’m so in awe of what God has done. I always want to remain who I am and I encourage all my peeps to go after their dreams. I’m just a chocolate girl from who didn’t give up on what she loved to do—building connections and sharing others stories. God is amazing. If I can do it, so can you 😉

If you know me, you know I LOVE broadcast and a good production. Well it all started in high school when I auditioned and got selected to be a reporter for the district’s television show, School Zone Dallas. From there I went on to work at K104 and Dallas ISD. Now, I can say all of my hard work has paid off. God, has been so faithful and patient with me.

I am officially announcing that I am a News Reporter (MMJ) for Fox West Texas in Abilene, TX. I am thrilled to start this new book in my life. I have received the greatest gift I could ask for and it was right in time for my 30th birthday!🎉 I am so happy that I never gave up on myself. To God be ALL the glory!

If you’ve made it this far in reading this post, I want to encourage you to never give up on your dreams. If you continue to work hard, stay focused, and understand that timing is everything, IT WILL HAPPEN!

I want to thank my parents, sisters, family, and friends for always being so supportive! To everyone who helped me along the way and became mentors of mine—thank you. To anyone who gave me advice, tips, and/or constructive criticism—I’m so grateful for you! Here’s to not only a new chapter, but a new book!🤩📕
