๐ŸŒŠ A Peaceful Tribute

At the beginning of the month, we were honored to conduct a Spread at Sea tribute off the coast of San Diego.

It is a privilege we never take lightly.

To our donors, thank you for giving the greatest gift. Your generosity continues to make a lasting impact through medical education, research, and hope for future generations.

Today, we honor your legacy with gratitude and respect. ๐Ÿ’™

Help us congratulate our Employee of the Month!

This monthโ€™s decision was an easy call. From day one, Polett has been a standout employee, always willing to learn more, help her peers, and look for ways to improve the quality of life for her department and the others around her.

As part of the nomination process, her supervisor had the following to say, โ€œShe is never one to shy away from working extra hours, or making up time lost, even if it means coming in on her weekends to do so. She is an excellent trainer and is able to teach others on various topics quickly and efficiently. Polett is extremely adaptable and is always quick to work with changes that come her way. Not to mention, she is extremely compassionate, empathetic, and an excellent resource to our families in need.โ€

Polettโ€™s commitment, work ethic, and positive presence make her exactly the kind of team player this award was created to celebrate.
Polett, from every corner of the RFL family, THANK YOU! Your teammates, supervisors, and colleagues have nothing but glowing things to say about you, and that says everything.

๐Ÿ’™ Men's Mental Health Month ๐Ÿ’™

This month, we're taking a moment to recognize the importance of men's mental health.

Life can be challenging. Work can be demanding. Grief, stress, responsibility, and life's unexpected turns can weigh heavily on anyone.

To the men who show up every day for their families, friends, coworkers, and communities, thank you.

At Research For Life, we're especially grateful for the incredible men on our team. The work we do isn't always easy, and we know that many of the families we serve are experiencing some of life's most difficult moments. Through it all, our team continues to lead with compassion, professionalism, and heart.

But this message is bigger than us.

To all the men out there: it's okay to check in on yourself. It's okay to ask for support. It's okay to take care of your mental health just as you would your physical health.

You matter. Your well-being matters. And you don't have to carry everything alone.

๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’™ Out of the Office and Into the Community!

Let's be honest... our Community Outreach Team would much rather be out meeting people than sitting behind a desk. ๐Ÿ˜„

On Friday, DJ had the opportunity to spend time with the wonderful residents of Leisure World, while Latisha headed to Casa Grande for the Resource Round-Up, connecting with community members and amazing local partners.

One of the best parts of what we do is getting out into the communities we serve, answering questions, sharing information, and building relationships along the way.

Whether we're at a resource fair, community event, healthcare facility, or senior center, our goal is always the same: helping people learn about their options and making sure they have the information they need to make informed decisions.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello! We love being part of such incredible communities. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“‹ Why Is the Paperwork Important?

One question we often hear is:

"Why do I need to complete paperwork for whole-body donation?"

The good news is that there isn't a lot of paperwork, but each document serves an important purpose.

The forms required by Research For Life help ensure donor wishes are properly documented and that the donation process is carried out ethically and responsibly. They are also part of the requirements established by Arizona and California state law, as well as our accreditation standards.

The paperwork helps protect donors, families, and the integrity of the donation process by ensuring that all necessary authorizations and information are in place.

Our team is here to make the process as simple as possible, answer questions, and guide families every step of the way.

It's not about paperwork for paperwork's sake.

It's about honoring every donor with the dignity, respect, and care they deserve.

Did you know that Research For Life was founded in 2009 by Garland and Laurie Shreves?

What began as a vision to help families and support medical advancement has grown into an organization dedicated to serving Arizona and Southern California with compassion, dignity, and purpose.

From the very beginning, Garland and Laurie believed that whole-body donation could do more than support medical education and research, it could also provide families with a meaningful option during a difficult time.

More than 15 years later, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.

Every donor represents a life lived, a family served, and a gift that helps educate healthcare professionals, advance medical research, and improve the quality of life for future generations.

We are grateful for the vision of our founders and honored to continue carrying that mission forward every day. ๐Ÿ’™
