Afrikan Roots is an international and unique house music band based in Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa. Established in an expansive format with variety of African rooted instruments such as percussions, guitars, pianos and drums, they always deliver LIVE performances on stage.

After many career-shaping experiences encountered during their music journeys, Nyekx, Maspila, Mosco, and Sbusi came up with a very refined identity and specific sound, which is today the lifeblood and signature of the band.

Coined “Chubba Cabra”, that sound has turned Afrikan Roots into household name in South Africa but has as well earned them a massive popularity in countries such as Mozambique, Portugal, Namibia, Angola and Kenya, further cementing their roots as an African band.

In 2017, Afrikan Roots performed on three stages in London followed by rave reviews.
