Kudos to our season finale tournament night champs from this past season at Funk Beach Tuesdays!

Team 50 Shades of Slay was the #1 seed and the #1 tournament team - kudos to Yasmin, Tasha, Izzy & Nathan!

Team Magenta Placentas took the BIG Kahuna crown - well done Eric, Lauren, Jon-Michael & Niles!
And well fought congrats to team Chocolate Brownies for a stellar season and getting all the way to the finals - (Pointing out the reason for their team name, lol) - great job Yasmin, Shannon, Tyree & Nathan. 💜🩵

Proper glory and recognition to our champions and finalists for both our Fun Kahuna and Little Kahuna season finale tournaments from this past season!

Brittany Galindo finally broke on through to earn her first Funk Beach Leagues crown and champs T-shirt.
Congrats to Captain Britt & Co!

And kudos to team Tomas/Brittany & Co for a most excellently fought night, getting all the way to the finals.

And big praise to team Chartreuse Mongoose - Brian & Co. for hanging tough and winning against the scrappy, agile team Red Flags who came all the way from the #9 seed to make the finals.

Mahalo, Arigato, gracias, Thank You to all 56 of you players from San Diego, Carlsbad, Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson & Flagstaff who made our very first spring edition of San Diego Funk a success!

This one was at the OB (Ocean Beach) courts at Spray St & Brighton Ave.

Rather than the spring Mexico event we’ve been running since 2009, this California Dreamin’ event is the beach party tourney we’ll be ringmastering. (Look for our fall Rocky Point, Mexico event coming Nov 7!)

What a fabulously cool, chill, fun, sportsmanship sharp group o players we enjoyed - THANK YOU again, everyone!

Congrats to local San Diego team There’s Sand Everywhere, captained by Mr. BJ Hollowell.
