I was asked this recently, what I believe to be a good standard for pull-ups in kit? My answer is for the average SWAT team member I believe 3-5 reps should be a minimum standard - that’s with operational vest and gun belt. However, I believe - minimum standards are just a number.. you should strive to be well above minimum standards if you’re expected to perform at a higher than normal or (elite level). Therefore, I believe you should strive to do at least 10, leaving the elite performers around 15 reps or higher. I demonstrate here a pretty easy set of 10 using the weight that both my belt and vest would weight. These are achievable numbers.

If your first 20 yard are slow, do this to increase your max speed!

Flying 20s or any variation of flying sprints help to maximize hitting top speed by utilizing a build up phase, into a max effort phase, followed by a deceleration phase.

We program these in all Guardian tracks.
