✔️ Drink water often, staying hydrated
✔️ Close blinds and curtains during the hottest hours
✔️ Use fans wisely and avoid peak afternoon heat

“I feel settled here. I feel comfortable. I feel safe.” — Sheila
At Acacia Heights Apartments, those words reflect what housing with affordable rents can make possible. Designed to support independence and connection, this community gives residents access to nearby services, transit, and the stability of a place to call home.
Made possible in part by an $800,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant from FHLBank San Francisco, in partnership with Wells Fargo National Bank West, Acacia Heights shows how strong partnerships can turn investment into real impact for older adults.

For far too many Arizonans, staying cool at home can mean the difference between stability and serious health risk.
We’re grateful to be included in Salt River Project's recent press release announcing increased funding for heat relief across Arizona communities. Reliable air conditioning helps protect older adults and low-income families during the most demanding months of the year.
This investment supports independence, reduces preventable health emergencies, and helps people age safely in their own homes.
