We now have some answers and still many unknowns. I'll do my best to keep you informed.

Known & unknown:
1. Mike has a cancerous mass on/near his liver. The origin is undetermined. The thought it might have been from his previous prostate cancer but further tissue testing puts it back into the undetermined category. This mass outside the liver is the source of his excruciating pain. The doctor just put Mike on steroids which should block the pain receptors and get him off opioids.
2. The mass in Mile's lung is cancerous and also of undetermined origin. More tests are being run on the tissue but at this point it and the liver tumor don't appear to be related.
3. There are "a couple of lesions" in Mike's brain the oncologist wants to test.

What's next:
1. Mike is being sent to an acute care/rehab facility to get him strong enough to come home. Assuming the steroids block the pain, he'll be off the opioids, able to stay awake and rehab to do what has to be done to get him home.
2. The oncologist has already ordered a PET CT of Mike's brain.
3. Once he's out of rehab I believe the doctor plans to start radiation to shrink the liver tumor.
4. Once tests are complete, from what the doctors said I'm guessing Mike will also get chemo.

That's pretty much it for now. We're taking it one day at a time and planning for the best but preparing for the worst. It's okay to call him and to write. Of course, that goes for me too if you have questions or things I probably should know. I say that as Mike might forget to tell me things until he's off the opioids.

At the opening ceremonial parade, Gedophamee observed the first wave of naked athletic males marching toward her and she exclaimed: "Oh! Limp pricks!”
Over the next two and a half millennia that expression morphed into "Olympics".

Nice end to a horrible day.
DAY found out Mike has cancer, garage refrigerator stopped working and everything totally defrosted, w**e cooler stopped working & all w**e hot, major leak in watering system, new garage door to Mike's family home in Ohio won't open.

Conversation continued.
This has never happened before. It was such a wonderful surprise at the end of a very bad, frustrating day.

Mike is now home and getting antibiotics via a pic line here. This is a picture of his 1st 2 weeks of antibiotics and needed ancillary required products. He gets the meds 4 times a day for 39 weeks, has a blood draw once a week and an MRI after 4 weeks and at the end. By then he should be good as new.

Another stellar line up for one of the hottest shows in the "greater Phoenix" area. I'm thrilled to be there. Hope you can make it.
