Today a few of us had the privilege of preparing brunch for families staying at Ronald McDonald House while they care for their little ones. Sometimes something as simple as a home-cooked meal can bring a little comfort during an incredibly difficult season. Grateful to spend the morning giving back with such amazing moms.

Southeast Wisconsin, moved to Phoenix area in 2019

✨ What’s your favorite part of this stage of motherhood right now?
Watching my 2 yo find his place in the world

✨ What’s been the most challenging lately?
The patience required to manage a newborn & a toddler!

✨ What are your kids currently into?
Robert - trucks, balls, & playing chase at the park; Baby Evie - being on mom

✨ What’s something that’s gotten easier as they’ve gotten older?
Worrying about them so much.

✨ What’s something funny your kid(s) have said or done recently?
Robert says the cutest things, and when he wakes up it’s always something new. This week he just woke up and said, “Mom…..” “when does the sun come out?”

✨ What fills your cup these days?
Watching my son learn more about his sister each day.

✨ What are you hoping to get out of this group?
Fellowship & playtime for my littles!

✨ What kinds of meetups would you actually come to?
All kinds, but definitely the outings for us and the kids! Been in the thick of late pregnancy & newborn life lately, but look forward to getting out.

✨ What’s your favorite part of this stage of motherhood right now?
my favorite part right now is watching him learn and the pure excitement about almost everything new!
✨ What’s been the most challenging lately?
biggest challenge is navigating my new normal as a single mom.
✨ What are your kids currently into?
Woody is currently into trucks especially “weewoos” as he calls them or emergency vehicles.
✨ What’s something that’s gotten easier as they’ve gotten older?
communicating with him 🤣
✨ What’s something funny your kid(s) have said or done recently?
when you ask him what he is doing his response is “I’m doing!”
✨ What fills your cup these days?
quality time with my little guy 🤗
✨ What are you hoping to get out of this group?
I want to make some new friends for myself and my son as I start my new chapter of life
✨ What kinds of meetups would you actually come to?
I’m interested in most activities that I can bring my son to but I can’t do daytime activities during the week because I work

✨FRIDAY MAMA SPOTLIGHT: Hannah Smith ✨

Hi my name is Hannah Smith. I have 2 children. Ellie who is almost 2 and Caden who is 9 weeks old. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and moved to Arizona is 2017. My favorite part of motherhood right now is soaking up as many snuggles as I can while they are so little. The most challenging was definitely going from 1 to 2 children, especially having a newborn with a toddler.
Right now my daughter is into playing and exploring her environment. As Ellie has gotten older she has been able to entertain herself which has given me a little extra time to get things done :)
I am hoping to make new mom friends and getting out of the house more. Having friends with kids close in age would be an added bonus as well :)
