I'm still searching for the details regarding Donald A Hall's work on this project, the Ford Tri-motor prototype.

We are FLYING OVER TIME, a 501c3 educational nonprofit that has been devoted to the hidden figures behind the story for years. In 1999 this photograph was discovered by Nova Hall, taken by his grandfather who he had never met. We believe it was taken in 1927. Does anybody know what building that is? It still exists and is quite famous. The location of the photograph is also in existence, and is a famous landmark in Manhattan.

It's very possible that this photograph was taken during the famous parade for Charles Lindbergh. Chief Engineer Donald Hall, a Brooklyn boy who had graduated from the Pratt institute, engineered the plane that made the 25 year old Charles Lindbergh the first global celebrity.

People forget that the plane was 'christened' the Spirit of St. Louis only after the financial backers in St. Louis got involved. My grandfather simply called it the Model NYP (New York-Paris).

The plane hangs now in the Smithsonian in Washington DC and can be found throughout popular culture.
