Had an absolute blast selling my books, especially Christmas Culinary Magic, to a packed event. The Bookish Night Market proved that Phoenix's literary scene is wild and lively, and we were even featured on the news! How lovely to meet prospective readers, sign books, and chat with other authors. πͺ©

Sweden part 2! πΈπͺ Autumn's warm and cold moods were the perfect challenge to my adventures in Sweden.
I followed the flow of traffic to SΓΆdermalm, and a long the way, I encountered the shops and stores like Where I discovered stories on trolls and brownies, classics like P**i Longstockings, and new discoveries like Moomin.
This was certainly the trip of museums! I met the real etching that sits on my desk, Goya's "The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters" and Munch's tantalizing "La Vampyre" . Crystal globes, marble gods, and imaginary castles . And last but not least the mummies and taxidermied fauna in the and . October feels in full swing after seeing the old, the preserved, and the timelessly invaluable.
What I love most about Sweden is its heroic memory. I can't turn a corner without finding a larger than life statue or a commemorative story about what happened exactly where I stood, centuries before. πͺ

Part 1 of Swedish adventures! πΈπͺ I spent late summer in beautiful, green Sweden where I strolled through the legendary science fiction bookstore @ in Stockholm's old town and stopped in @ for a quiet morning.
Then I traveled back in time, to the West Coast on an island with more highland cows than people! On my way back I journeyed the paths once trod by Vikings, enjoying the scratches of folklore and long forgotton history etched on the granite beneath my feet. βοΈβ¨

Between flights, I took a quick opportunity do to some bookish things. Reading on the beach, checking out SLO's Free Little Library, and crashing a bonfire wine and book club on the cliffs! You never know when you'll run into a tiny adventure. π

My summer vacation in Margaritaville was a sun soaked dream! You can't go wrong when you're turning over vintage romance books off of Jimmy Buffet Highway.
Stuart and Hobe Sound were fantastic getaway spots, they really put the beach in beach read ποΈ I hit the flea markets and bookstores in sandals and swimsuit, where the ocean was never too far away.
I hope you enjoy some of these fun photos from the Friends Book Depot, Chuckles Favorite Things, and the Hobe Sound Library! π

Exploring Montana's trails, one book and hike at a time! I tried to catch some of the bookstores out in Northern Montana this weekend, but it seems that on weekends everyone drops everything and heads out to the beautiful outdoors. Gorgeous views! πποΈ
