Arizona Bleeding Disorders
Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people with inherited bleeding disorders.
Bleeding disorders are life-threatening, debilitating, and expensive to treat with many physical, emotional and social challenges. A child with severe Hemophilia will spend over $150,000 annually to prevent bleeding. Some children and adults build up inhibitors to the treatment and the costs can exceed $1,000,000 per year. Failure to preventatively treat the disorder can result in prolonged painfu

Advocacy Update!
Earlier this year, AZBD's Future Leaders traveled to Washington, D.C. for Washington Days, where they met with members of Congress and shared their stories while advocating for issues important to the bleeding disorders community, including the FED UP with Bleeding Disorders Act.
We are excited to share that the FED UP with Bleeding Disorders Act has officially been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives! This bipartisan legislation aims to address many of the barriers faced by women and girls living with bleeding disorders by reviewing federal programs, improving provider education, increasing access to treatment and services, encouraging inclusion in clinical trials, and creating a national awareness campaign.
This is a great reminder that advocacy works! We are excited to continue building momentum and advancing awareness for women and girls with bleeding disorders!

Aaden shared this photo with us showing off his Camp HONOR wall, and we love it!
From camp photos and awards to years of memories, it just goes to show how much Camp HONOR means to so many members of our community. It's been amazing watching Aaden grow from camper to CIT, and we know there are plenty more Camp HONOR memories still to come.
Thanks for sharing, Aaden! Camp month is here!

The Camp HONOR Talent Show!
At this point, we're not entirely sure if it's a talent show, comedy show, or complete chaos BUT it's one of our favorite Camp HONOR traditions.
Every year, campers and staff take the stage to show off their talents, perform skits, make everyone laugh, and somehow create moments that get talked about for years afterward.
Last year alone, Pitbull made an appearance, The Cat in the Hat stopped by with Things 1–9, and there may have even been a celebrity wedding.
You never know who's going to show up at the Camp HONOR Talent Show!
