🚨 Mr. Peabody has a catch.

He's 10 years old.
He's completely blind.
He had both eyes removed due to glaucoma.

And somehow...

He's one of the happiest dogs in rescue.

Peabody doesn't spend his days feeling sorry for himself. He spends them hunting down squeaky toys, demanding belly rubs, finding the comfiest pillow in the house, and reminding us that joy has absolutely nothing to do with eyesight.

His adoption fee has been sponsored, which means this incredible little guy is looking for his forever family for $0.

The only thing missing from Peabody's life is someone to share it with.

πŸ’ We asked Starsky what he's looking for in a forever home.

His response:

βœ”οΈ A couch
βœ”οΈ A bed
βœ”οΈ A human
βœ”οΈ Another human
βœ”οΈ Maybe a third human
βœ”οΈ Belly rubs

"What about a giant backyard?"

Nah.

"What about expensive toys?"

Not really.

"What about a busy social calendar?"

Absolutely not.

Starsky is a homebody at heart. He wants a family, a routine, and a place where he'll never have to wonder if he belongs again.

Honestly, his standards are pretty reasonable.

Let's talk about Rupert.

Not the puppies.
Not the young dogs.
Not the flashy dogs everyone rushes to apply for.

Rupert.

The dog quietly waiting for someone to notice him.

The dog who squeezes himself next to you on the bed because being close is his favorite thing in the world.

The dog who gives kisses freely and loves deeply.

The dog who doesn't need muchβ€”just a family that sees his value.

We think Rupert is about 5-6 years old, and while everyone scrolls past looking for younger dogs, he's sitting here ready to be somebody's entire world.

Maybe the perfect dog isn't the loudest one.

Maybe it's Rupert.

🐾 Thank You, Fry's Shoppers! 🐾

From March 1 through May 31, 2026, 70 households selected Arizona Pug Party & Rescue through Fry's Community Rewards, generating $195.37 in donations for the pugs.

At first glance, $195 may not seem like much.

But behind the scenes, rescue is getting more expensive every day. We recently learned that some of our spay and neuter costs are increasing, and finding ways to offset those expenses can be challenging for a small rescue.

Programs like Fry's Community Rewards help bridge that gap.

The best part? These donations don't cost supporters anything extra. They come from everyday grocery shopping that many of you are already doing.

Want to help?

πŸ›’ Sign in to your Fry's account
πŸ›’ Search for Arizona Pug Party & Rescue in Fry's Community Rewards
πŸ›’ Select us as your organization
πŸ›’ Shop as usual and Fry's will donate a portion of eligible purchases to the rescue

To the 70 households who have linked their accounts: thank you. Your support helps provide vaccinations, spay and neuter surgeries, medications, emergency medical care, and everything our pugs need on their journey to forever homes.

Every dollar matters. Every household matters. And together, you're helping us save lives. ❀️🐾

πŸ“£ Attention everyone who says they want a chill dog.

Where are you?

Because Starsky is right here.

This boy wakes up, goes potty, eats breakfast, patrols the yard for approximately 7 minutes, takes a nap, supervises his humans, takes another nap, requests belly rubs, and calls it a productive day.

No chaos.
No drama.
No unreasonable demands.

Just a sweet, goofy little guy looking for someone to spend his days with.

At this point we're starting to think everyone is holding out for a dog who pays the mortgage.

🚨 ATTENTION HOMEBODIES 🚨

Rupert has reviewed your application for "professional couch companion" and would like to schedule an interview.

Qualifications include:

βœ… Enjoying naps
βœ… Enjoying snacks
βœ… Enjoying more naps
βœ… Appreciating a dog who thinks personal space is optional
βœ… Being okay with a shadow that follows you everywhere

At around 5-6 years old, Rupert has mastered the art of taking life slow. He's not looking for chaos. He's not looking for adventure.

He's looking for a soft bed, a loving family, and someone who understands that the best days are often the quiet ones.

Honestly? Rupert may just be living the dream.

Now he just needs a family to share it with.

πŸ“Έβœ¨ This week we're shining the spotlight on Mr. Peabody and the incredible images captured by our friend Kim over at

When Peabody came to rescue, he wasn't blind because he had been born that way.

He arrived suffering from severe glaucoma. The pressure in his eyes had become so extreme that they were painfully swollen and beyond saving. The kindest thing we could do for him was remove both eyes.

And you know what happened next?

Peabody got his life back.

These photos capture the dog we know today. Not a dog defined by blindness, but a dog defined by resilience.

A dog who still gets excited for dinner.
A dog who still hunts down squeaky toys.
A dog who still finds his way onto the couch for snuggles.
A dog who still trusts people despite everything he's been through.

When we look at these images, we don't see what Peabody lost.

We see a dog who is finally comfortable, pain-free, and ready for his next chapter.

A huge thank you to Good Vibes Photography for capturing the spirit of this incredible boy so perfectly. πŸ–€

Peabody is about 10 years old, otherwise healthy, and his adoption fee has been fully sponsored.

Now all he needs is a family of his own.

🚐 The truth is, our old van was telling us it was time.

If you've seen me showing up to events, vet appointments, and transports in my personal car lately, there's a reason.

On our last trip to the vet with Mama Mia Gia and her puppies, the van repeatedly stalled while exiting the freeway. While we made it home safely, being stranded in the desert heat was not a risk I wanted to take with any of the pugs in our care.

Making the decision to replace the van made me a little sick to my stomach. Every dollar this rescue spends comes from the generosity of our supporters and the hard work of our volunteers, fosters, and board members. We don't take that responsibility lightly.

So while we're sad to say goodbye to the van that carried so many dogs, miles, and memories, we're excited to introduce our new-to-us pug ride, a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.

Fittingly, her maiden voyage was picking up Mama Mia Gia after her BOAS surgery last weekβ€”a well-earned upgrade for a mama in recovery - she enjoyed that ventilated seat.

A special thank you to the family who sold us our last rescue van, the donors who helped us add CarPlay and other bells and whistles that increase its value, and Joe's Auto for helping keep it on the road long enough to make this next chapter possible.

Please send some good vibes that she gives us many safe miles ahead. She's going to be carrying some very precious cargo. 🐾❀️

Thank you for helping us keep the wheels turning and the pugs moving safely.

✨ Crickets. ✨

We're genuinely confused.

Did everyone collectively decide they didn't need a ridiculously sweet, goofy, affectionate little shadow following them around the house?

Because Starsky is sitting over here ready to dedicate his entire life to being someone's best friend.

His senior owner could no longer afford his care, so through no fault of his own, he's looking for a fresh start. And despite that, this boy still wakes up every day convinced people are wonderful.

Frankly, Starsky is carrying this relationship. The least you all could do is submit an application.
