Copperhead
Copperhead CrossFit is closed as of 2020

How it started and how it ended, with Fran.
I think said that CrossFit is more than just thrusters and pull ups.
We always wanted to make copperhead more than just a gym. We wanted it to be your “third place” (after home and work).
A place to get fit with your friends.
A place to feel welcomed.
A place that improved lives.
We did lots of thrusters and pull ups over the years but in the end, above all else, we hope that we had a positive impact on our people.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that Copperhead Crossfit will be closing our doors as of December 1st, 2020. We are just shy of our 8-year anniversary, but unfortunately the effects of COVID-19 have caused irrevocable damage to our business. We followed the rules and closed during the mandate and have always put the health and wellbeing of our members ahead of any financial gain and we stand by that decision. Unfortunately, the future with regard to COVID-19 and the potential for more possible closings remains uncertain and we are not able to weather a second storm. We thank you all for your dedication to our gym and we are sorry that the journey has to come to an end.
We’re back!!!
According to the AZ guidelines, we’re able to open back up. Classes will start on Tuesday the 1st.
We’ll post the details tomorrow but we wanted to let you guys know.
See you back in the gym soon!
Here we go again. Looks like tonight is our last class for 30 days. I’m looking at details but it’s not looking good.
I’m sorry everyone.

After seven years, Copperhead CrossFit will be rebranding.
The CEO of CrossFit tweeted a remark that does not represent the values we uphold or the mutual respect that we provide to and expect of all of our members.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that he has made a statement that we found offensive, but it will be the last time we tolerate it.
We will no longer be part of the CrossFit organization. We will however continue to support our amazing Copperhead community and continue to deliver fantastic fitness programs.
Please be patient while we’re in our transition period. We will be developing our new brand and removing affiliation material as quickly as we can.

First day back in two months.
We skipped the high fives and fist bumps.
We all smelled like bleach afterward.
We used the fans to circulate air out the doors rather than cool us down.
Even still, it was good to be back ☺️💪
We’re back! Today’s 4:30 class is full but we have some room in the 6:00pm. Head on over to our Facebook group and claim a spot and we’ll see you back in the gym 💪
COPPERHEAD IS RE-OPENING!
We will open back up on Monday, May 18th with some changes.
The morning class schedule is unchanged.
Afternoon classes will be held at 4:30 and 6:00. This will give up extra time to clean and disinfect between classes.
Classes will be limited to 9 members and preregistration via our Facebook group is required.
Memberships will be 3x per week.
Membership dues will not draft until June. These next two weeks are free.
These changes are not ideal but we’re trying to be responsible during this time of uncertainty. If things go smooth then we’ll certainly work toward getting back to normal.
See you guys soon!

This seems like a pretty cool way to keep a sense of community. Registration is free, check it out! @ Phoenix, Arizona
Hello Copperhead CrossFit Members,
Our two week quarantine is reaching its end. Unfortunately, what started as a precaution for our members is now mandated by the government. We will remain closed until this pandemic is at a level for which it has been deemed safe to reopen. The effects of COVID-19 are taking a financial toll on many. Given that in the beginning we were hoping this may only last a couple of weeks, we did not cancel any of the membership dues and used the time to make improvements and repairs to the gym that were difficult to complete otherwise given that we have classes 7 days a week throughout the day, and rarely close, even on most holidays. Now that it appears we will be closed possibly another 2-4 weeks (no one knows with any certainty), I am reaching out to each and every one of you to ask for your continued support if and only if, this will not be a financial burden on you. I completely understand if a member or family has to cancel given their own financial burden and will fully support their decision. I am hoping that this will not last more than one additional month, and as I am sure many of you are aware, mortgage payments, insurance coverage, utilities, etc. all continue to have to be paid by small businesses. Additionally, I have continued to pay our instructors for both Jiu Jitsu and Crossfit to help them maintain their family's needs and will continue to do so as long as this is possible.
Here are a couple ideas I have to help repay your generosity.
Starting in May I can reduce your dues by $10/month until the month owed is repaid.
I am making improvements to our gym while we are shut down.
I am beyond grateful for your support in this tough time and will support your decision in the same way you have supported me and Copperhead CrossFit.
Sincerely,
Nathan Zigler
