When I read the words “there was a fatality on the Broadway curve, a worker was hit by a vehicle” I immediately reached for my cell phone and called my brother Shawn. He is a mainline pipe operator with a pipe crew working on this project and for a second my mind went right to WHAT IF…When he picked up and I heard his voice, I cried tears of relief. We talked about the incident, we said I love you, he told me that if we are in a hurry and take short cuts we can suffer the ultimate price. We agreed this incident needed to be a toolbox talk and that we needed to take a moment to mourn the loss of a fellow constrution worker who’s family is devastated by the news they just received. He went to work that evening not knowing he wouldn’t make it home to see his loved ones. This hit too close to home for me, it has and continues to weigh heavy on my heart. Our father works for Sundt who’s office is located just minutes from my brothers work area. I couldn’t imagine how difficult this situation would be if it were my family. Please take SAEFTY seriously, Please don’t take short cuts and always look out for yourself AND your crew. We want you to go home just the way you came to the jobsite, maybe even better! ❤️👷🏻‍♀️👷🏽👷🏾‍♂️🦺

There is something so incredibly satisfying to the heart when your friends take your brand out of state and make her seen…even if it isn’t legal 😂 Not going to give his identity up but he’s one of my biggest supporters and best friends!
