Meet Phoenix Top Gun Facilitator/Instructor, Mark Kinkead!

Mark has been with Swift for 36 years. His roles over the years have been OTR Driver and mentor, Instructor, Driver Leader, Regional Manager of Driver Services, and Driver Support Safety Coordinator.

“Swift has been very good to me over the years. I have always been treated like family! I love the culture. I love my job! I have had some losses in my family. Swift has always given me great support through the hard times. I have been truly blessed to be able to work with a company like Swift!”

Swift reaching 60 years means a lot to Mark; he has seen the company grow in his 36 years and also been involved in those changes.

“It feels amazing to watch this company grow over the years. I think we have always had very good management teams in place! To be part of this for 36 of the 60 years makes me feel honored. I bleed Swift blue! That is why I have been here for over 36 years! I have been able to build a lot of friendships over the years.”

“To our driving force, the number one focus is safety. Stay focused, manage your speed and space, do not do things that distract you or take your eyes off the road, and never drive fatigued. Always get out to look when you’re back. Watch your trailer anytime you turn your steering wheel going forward.

"Always be a good communicator. Driver leaders and office staff always support our drivers! They are the backbone of the company. Without them, we would not have the careers we have today. Always be a team player! It's all about building working relationships. Be adaptable to change. That is how we grow as a company.”

Meet Larry Dixon! The man with 4 million miles out of the Memphis terminal.

Larry is a humble man who works hard every single day. 4 million miles is an amazing accomplishment that requires a strong work ethic, safety, and a solid support system to keep you going!

"I'm always careful, and I keep in mind that someone's family members are around me [when driving] at all times. I really want us to be the best company out here."

He holds many titles at Swift: Diamond Driver, million-mile driver, and mentor.

"I enjoy training the next generation of drivers." How amazing would it be to have a trainer who has driven as many miles as Larry has!

During the Million Mile event, he was joined by his amazing wife, Jessi, who is just as kind as he is. Also joined by his Swift representative, Lenor.

If you know Larry, you know how kind and humble he is. He loves to bust out a move to some good music, can make a friend anywhere, and really is an amazing representation of Swift. 💙
