Getting electricity to the school is a major goal and expense. Someday, someday.
Happy Easter!
Battery connected to our Solar panels has stopped charging, effectively. Teachers use this to not only charge their phones, their lifelines to family, but the battery also provides "some" lights during the dark, dark nights.
Prayer needed.
Yard Sale was a success - raised close to $400 - and will go directly to the wages of our staff - ten teachers, a cook and security guard.
Feeing blessed.
Yard sale tomorrow - hoping to raise big bucks (ha) for more school construction. We need a second teacher's hostel and an improved bathing/shower room.
Our staff and students have been asked to participate in a talent show - such a fun opportunity for them. Pictures will be posted soon.
Local gov't visited the school - strongly encouraging the classroom floors being cemented as the focus on construction. Instead of putting any funds into the plastering of the walls - focus first on the floors, then the walls after. Sadly, they can offer no support for a tuition free school.
Praying for guidance and support. We will persevere.
What will the new year bring? Must stay positive and strong.

Thanks to a generous donation - Classroom #2 has had the walls plastered and the floor cemented. Maate and Daniel express our thanks.

Maate spent time with his family and the orphans from our school on Christmas Day - he is truly a dedicated man.

Thanks to a generous donation, we are able to begin plastering and cement flooring for classroom #2 of 10.
Cement purchased, construction pending.
