A Beginners Guide to Golf
How do I build a consistent set up and golf swing?
Set up and a smooth tempo is key to the perfect swing and hitting more consistent golf shots, if you don’t focus on your set up early on in your game you will be making life on the course tough for yourself. Even small details can have a big impact on where your ball ends up on the course. A slight misalignment in your set up can result in a detrimental slice or hook.

We know there is no such thing as the perfect golf swing. However, I want to share in this article as part of our Training Aids month at Me and My Golf, how and what training aids could help you with the different stages of your golf swing. Warning!! Just to be clear, we wouldn’t want you to work on all of these positions, with all of these training aids at the same time! Just one at a time please.

So you’ve decided to take a golf lesson… congratulations! There is no more-proven path to getting better at this game than working with a trained professional.
As a PGA Master Professional with more than 30 years of experience, I’ve helped countless golfers make rapid improvement and achieve their golfing goals. Of course, that has meant different things to different students over the years.
Getting the ball airborne or beating their buddies is a big moment for many golfers; for others, the goal is to win their club championship or make it on tour. Whatever your golf goals are, lessons with a trained professional can help you get there. And trust me, it’s just as exciting for a teaching professional to watch one of their students hit their first draw as it is to watch one of them win a professional event.

How Many Golf Lessons You Should Take When You’re an Intermediate Player
Intermediate golfers do not need to spend as much time addressing the fundamentals that a beginner needs. As an intermediate golfer who knows how to hit a golf ball, you have had some success around the golf course. However, you are not perfect and have a long way to go until you reach a scratch handicap.

Your first trip to the golf course: What you need to know
Are you ready for the golf course?

Strategic planning
The failure or success of every putt mainly depends on your preparation. When on the green, you’re your time to read and study the putt carefully to acquire the logical information to perform a good putt.
Determine whether the putt is downhill or uphill, the amount of break (left or right turn), as well as how much speed you should create to succeed. In most cases, this skill comes from experience, which can be gained by practices and on-course situations.

How to Play a Florida Scramble Golf Tournament
A Florida Scramble is a golf tournament format that is a twist on a basic scramble.Unlike in a regular scramble, in a Florida Scramble one golfer on the team skips each stroke played. The exception is each hole's drive, which all four golfers play. But after that, until the ball is holed, the golfer whose shot is selected skips, or sits out, the next shot.
We'll explain in more detail below, but first note that a Florida Scramble is also known by several other names. Among them are Step Aside Scramble (or just Step Aside), Dropout Scramble (or just Dropout), Stand Aside Scramble, Mexican Standoff and Stand Out. If you see any of those names, the format in use is probably the same as a Florida Scramble.
A Florida Scramble is also very similar to another format that is called the Miami Scramble.
