The Monroe Street Abbey was a breathtaking location for T & H’s engagement photos!

There are so many great spots for photos here, from beautiful greenery, different window lightings, rooftop access, indoor and outdoor options, the balcony with outstanding architecture, 10/10 for the location, and 15/10 for the amazing couple 🖤🪩

Let’s talk timeline ⏰

Your timeline majorly dictates how your day will go, and no two timelines are the same. There are so many factors that go into your personal wedding day timeline :

• Do you want a laid back or more fast paced kind of wedding day? This also ties into how long you booked your vendors for, and what all you are hoping to get out of your vendors.

•Do you want to do a first look with you special someone? If yes, we can always build the day to get ALL of the couples, bridal party and family photos done pre-ceremony, to have more time for celebration later. If no, we will need to make sure there is adequate time to get all of these photos post-ceremony (and also ensure that uncle Bob doesn’t run off to the bar before photos 🤭)

•How important are detail photos to you? (The dress hanging up, the invites, florals, perfume/cologne, jewelry, any family heirlooms) do you want you want to be able to feel fully immersed in your wedding day when you look back in your gallery for years to come? That takes time and planning.

•Do you want to prioritize the reception, and getting photos with all of your guests and extended family? That might be better with a quick photo wall and everyone grabbing a photo on the way to dinner with the couple (keeps everyone moving, and you’re able to see everyone at least once!)

It’s amazing how fast a wedding day comes and goes, and the photos/videos will be the main memories you carry with you after the event. Let’s plan it out together to ensure you get everything you want!!

(Main exception is when you have an amazing bride like pictured here 😅 She knew 100% what she wanted, did her research, created a perfect timeline that allowed for breathing room and to get all the details - I couldn’t have made it better if i tried 🖤)

Capturing love stories is my absolute favorite 💚

After the wedding day is over, all the guests have gone home, you’re off on your honeymoon - your wedding photos will be what lasts year and years later. They are what you print off to hang around the house, give to close family and friends, or put into a photo journal to remember forever!

You want to see the love in your eyes, the feelings that you felt that day, all the details that you spend months and months working to piece together - you want to be able to relive your wedding day for years to come 🖤

An engagement session with your wedding photographer is so important (in my opinion)

You get the chance to meet in person if you haven’t already (so much communication happens by phone or email now) That first face to face gets any potentially awkward introductions out of the way, and let’s you be completely comfortable together so your wedding day isn’t filled with “oh yeah, hi, we’ve talked online.”

You and your significant other get the chance to be posed by your photographer before the wedding day. That way, on your wedding day, you all know what you are and aren’t comfortable with (do you want to do a lift and twirl? Do you feel comfortable doing a dip and kiss?) and you get to practice some of these poses, so on wedding day, you are comfortable doing them in front of the camera (and maybe some of your friends and family 😅)

If you can find the time, I’d always suggest doing an engagement session with your wedding photographer! 🖤💍📸

I adore the intentional focus on beautifully curated details. Outside of capturing my couples themselves, I love to document all of the details that truly bring your wedding day to life!
