The same traits that help people build successful careers often end up hurting their health.

Discipline.

Work ethic.

The ability to push through discomfort.

The willingness to sacrifice today for a better future.

Those traits are great for building a business.

They’re not always great for maintaining your body.

I’ve been there myself.

When I was growing athELITE, I spent years focused on building the business. Long days. Early mornings. Late nights. Constantly thinking about the next thing that needed to get done.

The business grew.

But my health wasn’t moving in the same direction.

That’s when I realized something:

Success doesn’t automatically create health.

In fact, if you’re not intentional, success can pull you further away from it.

The goal isn’t just to build a successful business.

It’s to build a body that can enjoy the life that business creates.

If you’re a business owner, executive, or high performer dealing with pain that’s limiting your workouts, golf game, travel, or everyday life, send me a message.

I’d love to hear your story 🤝

One of the biggest mistakes I see successful people make is treating their health differently than they treat every other area of their life.

If revenue starts declining, they take action.

If an investment starts underperforming, they take action.

If a key employee starts struggling, they take action.

But when it comes to their body?

They wait.

And wait.

And wait.

They hope the knee pain goes away.

They hope the back stiffness gets better.

They hope they’ll eventually find more time to exercise.

But while they’re waiting, something else is happening.

They’re becoming less active.

They’re losing strength.

They’re gaining weight.

They’re avoiding activities they used to enjoy.

The real cost isn’t the pain itself.

The real cost is everything the pain slowly takes away from you while you’re waiting.

I’ve learned that the most expensive health problems aren’t usually the dramatic ones.

They’re the small issues that gradually change how you live your life.

What have you been putting off because you thought it would eventually get better on its own? 🤔

Objective data doesn’t lie 📈

Check out these strength testing numbers for one of our ACL athletes, just two months post-op and already ahead of schedule.

The top images show where we were just one week ago. The bottom images show the results from today’s testing. In only seven days of targeted, high-intent rehab & performance training, we’ve seen:

✅ 22% decrease in knee extension asymmetry
✅ 11% decrease in knee flexion asymmetry
✅ Massive overall increases in absolute strength

At two months out, many athletes are still just trying to find their rhythm. This athlete is already closing the gap and building a foundation that will make the transition back to running and jumping much smoother.

This is why we test. We don’t guess on progress; we measure it. When you have a clear plan and the data to back it up, “ahead of schedule” becomes the new normal.

Great work by this athlete for staying locked in. 🤝

This is why prehab before ACL surgery matters.

We tested this athlete’s quad and hamstring strength at three different points: before surgery, one month after surgery, and then again recently as he continues working through his rehab.

And the biggest thing that stands out is how much his strength has progressed because we did not wait until after surgery to start building.

A lot of people tear their ACL, schedule surgery, and then spend the time before surgery just waiting around. But that time matters. If you can safely build strength, improve control, restore motion, and go into surgery in a better place, you usually give yourself a much better starting point on the other side.

That does not mean the process is easy, and it definitely does not mean surgery recovery becomes automatic. This athlete also has a great team around him, and that matters a lot. But the work he put in before surgery gave us something to build from instead of starting from zero.

The stronger and more prepared you are going into surgery, the better chance you have of limiting atrophy, restoring strength faster, and progressing more smoothly toward running, jumping, cutting, and eventually returning to sport.

ACL rehab is not just what happens after surgery.

It starts before surgery.

If you are waiting on an ACL reconstruction, do not waste that window. Use it to get your quad, hamstring, hip, and knee as prepared as possible so your post-op rehab has a better foundation.

That is the whole point of prehab.

If you’re not happy with how your ACL recovery/rehab is going, reach out to us.

We would love to see if we would be a better fit for you 🤝

STOP DOING THIS if you have knee pain…

Random knee stretches are not always the answer.

If the tissues around the knee are stiff, irritated, or just not moving well, sometimes you need to be more specific with your mobility work.

Try these instead:

1. Lacrosse ball stripping to the quads/VMO
2. Foam roll stripping to the IT band
3. Lacrosse ball stripping to the popliteus

The key here is stripping, not just rolling around and hoping you hit the right spot.

Save this one and try it before your next lower-body day.

And if you want a more specific knee plan, DM me “knee” and I’ll show you the knee pain relief program structure that I’ve used to get 100’s of athletes out of knee pain in the past.

One lazy day a week might be exactly what your muscles need.

Rest isn’t the opposite of training, it’s part of it. Recovery is when the real progress happens. Without it, your body stays inflamed, your muscles can’t rebuild, and your gains hit a plateau.

Research shows that a full rest day each week helps:
• Reduce muscle inflammation
• Rebuild and grow muscle tissue
• Replenish energy stores (like glycogen)
• Balance hormones like cortisol and testosterone
• Prevent overuse injuries
• Improve long-term performance

Even elite athletes schedule rest to let their bodies adapt and grow stronger. Skipping recovery slows you down, no matter how hard you train.

You’re not being lazy. You’re giving your body what it needs to come back better.

So block off one full day each week.

Sleep in, take a walk, stretch, breathe....

Your muscles will thank you for it.

Your future strength and performance depends on it.
