After changing hands multiple times, it fell into disrepair, but in 1984, the city of Phoenix began a $14 million restoration. The theatre reopened in 1997 with *Hello, Dolly!* starring Carol Channing A true Phoenix gem 💎 saved from turning into a parking lot!
