A homage to my late fallen grandmother who passed last year of cancer. This piece is a physical manifestation of my emotions of grief, as I witnessed one of the closest people to me pass of such an unfathomable human experience… death. The inevitable experience we all share and are guaranteed.

This painting explores the emotions that arise when confronting mortality. It touches on topics of forgiveness for the wrongs and “sins” one may have committed in this life, and the idea of being saved from what is to come in the afterlife. It also explores the idea of when death is approaching, but you’re not quite ready to let go or maybe when you are ready to let go.

There’s many ways this piece could be interpreted, as all art is understood through the viewers perception. If anything it’s just a reminder to be grateful for the life you are currently living.

Forever a part of me will feel like it’s missing.. But I trust I’ll forever be protected.

At the end of the day I’m just a little girl with a dream, just trying to share my art with the world and turning my dreams into reality! If you like any pieces I’ve made on my page please share! It means a lot!!

I’m feeling blessed, highly favored and super loved as I reflect on completing my first successful market as Lo Reed LLC! This has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve had in a very long time. I’ve learned a lot about myself over these past two months and feel as tho I’m stepping into my true self. And I’m so grateful to have the community and support that I have, and thank you to everyone that showed up for me! It was so awesome to be surrounded by so many talented women last night and have the opportunity to meet and speak with so many new people. Extra shout out to and for giving me this opportunity to be apart of it all! All the love and support I received, added fuel to my fire and I’m ready to take this to the next level. This is just the beginning, keep an eye out for what comes next from Lo Reed! :)
