Another round of scouting in the books, this time from Mile 2 to 6.7, picking up right where my last bit of recon left off.
This time I was joined by a group of Bandits and Rey! Serious question, will anyone race this as fast as she does?

Yeah that’s the start line at Cal Memorial way down there.
Can you believe this is one of the “B” views from the start of this race? The Bay Area 100 has tons of iconic moments you’ll never forget - but this first climb out of Berkeley is unreal.

Tam and Diablo just barely poking out of the fog today - at 2pm!!
Kept thinking the sun was just about to break through - never did. 30 miles in the mist, 30 miles of joy. This was probably the only sunny moment.

People sleep on the East Bay, even Trail Runners.
The East Bay is uniquely special. Vast wilderness with a massive interconnected trail system - interwoven with dense urban centers providing immediate access from anywhere.
Stunning views. Sunsets. Inversions. Sunrises. Single track. Mountains. Redwoods. Forests, golden hills, sweeping vistas, tunnels of green, rock scrambles.
You can take your dog almost anywhere...
The Bay Area has no bad corners. But East Bay is its gem.
The has been a passion project of mine since 2019. A love letter to this place that’s become my home, my family, my friends, my community, my church. A gift back, to showcase and elevate the amazing people, towns, companies and trails that form this community and make it what it is.
I wasn’t but my heart has always been here, even when I didn’t know it yet.
